About WAHA

The World Association of Hindu Academicians (WAHA) is a distinguished global organization dedicated to fostering academic excellence and research rooted in the timeless traditions of Hindu civilization.

Established with the support of prominent Hindu organizations worldwide, WAHA was created to address systemic challenges faced by Hindu academicians and to strengthen Hindu civilization through scholarly endeavors.

While Hindus have excelled globally across diverse fields of knowledge, the profound contributions of Hindu civilization — in philosophy, mathematics, linguistics, science, and other disciplines — have often been marginalized, misrepresented, or neglected within global academia. Much of the distortion observed in media narratives and public discourse about Hindu Dharma and culture can be traced back to biases entrenched in academic institutions. Moreover, Hindu academicians have frequently encountered discrimination in professional environments due to their allegiance to Hindu Dharma.

Recognizing these critical challenges, WAHA seeks to ensure an accurate, unbiased, and comprehensive representation of Hindu civilization, knowledge traditions, and cultural heritage. It serves as a vibrant platform for Hindu scholars, researchers, and educators worldwide, committed to rejuvenating authentic Hindu scholarship and building a resilient academic community.

Hindus have made significant achievements in various fields across the world; however, our progress in academia has only marginally contributed to fortifying our civilization and Dharma. Hindu academicians must unite to address distortions, mentor the next generation, counter discrimination, and open new frontiers of research deeply rooted in Sanatana Dharma.
