WAHA’s Recent Activities

WAHA has successfully conducted multiple high-profile academic events, attracting leading scholars, historians, and policymakers: 


1. First International Hindu Academicians Conference (October 11-12, 2019, Haridwar, India): 

  • Organized at Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, this conference marked the formal establishment of WAHA and set the stage for future academic initiatives.
  • Key topics included Hindu knowledge systems, decolonizing academia, and redefining historiography from an indigenous perspective.


2. Hindu Academicians Conference (April 8-9, 2023, Faridabad, India):

  • Focused on the interpretation of key terms like 'Hindu,' 'Hindu Dharma,' and 'Hindutva', and the academic narratives surrounding Hindu civilization.
  • Professor Nachiketa Tiwari (IIT Kanpur) emphasized the need for intellectual clarity and historical accuracy in academic discourse.


3. WAHA Symposium (December 29, 2023, Coimbatore, India):

  • Featured group discussions and research presentations on contemporary challenges in Hindu studies.
  • Encouraged young scholars to contribute to the academic discourse on Hindu civilization.


4. WAHA Conference (March 4, 2024, Nagpur, India):

  • Provided a platform for scholars to present their research on Hindu epistemology, Vedic traditions, and Sanskrit literature.
